Saab 900 new generation – NG
When Saab became part of the General Motors empire they where able to develop a completely new breed of car, which was sold under the old Saab 900 name. This new version of the Saab 900 was sold between 1993-1998 and was often denoted as just NG, which stands for New Generation. The Saab NG car differs a lot for the old classic Saab 900, but several of the old Saab 900 attributes remains in the design.
The second generation Saab went through some minor modifications and in 1997 came the Saab 9-5 model and in 1998 the Saab 9-3. At this time Saab 900 had several components in common with the Opel Vectra, generation 1.
